Canadian maple neck blanks
- usually flatsawn, however some stock may be quartersawn.
1 piece, 700mm x 100mm x 28mm - large enough to make a 1-piece maple electric guitar neck.
The diagram shows how the neck wood is transformed into an acoustic guitar neck. The diagram shows the 'scarf joint' made by an angled cut at point A. The off-cut is then flipped over and glued underneath the neck to create the headstock. Section B is a solid heel, and section C is a stacked heel using 3 pieces of wood.
For an electric guitar, either of our maple or mahogany neck blanks can be used to create a neck profile shown.
