Mahogany neck blanks
Typically quartersawn (or at most up to 45 degrees off quarter).
1 piece, 700mm x 100mm x 23mm.
The diagram shows how the neck wood is transformed into an acoustic guitar neck.
The diagram shows the 'scarf joint' made by an angled cut at point A. The off-cut is then flipped over and glued underneath the neck to create the headstock. Section B is a solid heel, and section C is a stacked heel using 3 pieces of wood.
For an electric guitar, either of our maple or mahogany neck blanks can be used to create a neck profile such as the one shown.
